Sydney Olympic Park

by liau on June 1, 2009

The Sydney Olympic Park in the suburb of Homebush Bay NSW was originally built for the Sydney Olympics in 2000. After the Olympics, it continues to host several sporting events and more. It is also a popular venue for big shows and concerts, too. We have actually witnessed a number of shows at the Acer Arena.

We were not yet in Australia in 2000 so we didn’t really see the Olympic Park crowded with athletes from all over the world. I am sure it would be exciting to watch the games sans all the distracting elements such as HGH and the like. I hope the Olympics will find its way to Sydney one more time.
