I was in a shopping mall last weekend and happened to stare at this poster saying that ‘it’s a buyer’s market’. If you do look around, almost every shop has some sort of sale going on. One one you may see ’stocktake sale’ while another would promote it as ‘end of year clearance sale’.
End of year? Yes, June is the end of the year in Australia. Financial Year, that is. That is probably the reason why there is this hype to attract buyers to shop. Online stores are no exception. But for web based sites, the method for bringing in visitors would require good SEO in order to surfers to land on the desired spot. The importance of search engine marketing in that business category cannot be understated.
So is it really a buyer’s market? Well, if you did plan something to buy, then perhaps the answer could be a yes. But if you’re going out there and be simply lured into impulse buying, then think again. The benefits that one can get could vary from person to person.
