Now Is The Time

Boxing Day is one of the public holidays here in Australia. It is celebrated on the 26th of December, the day after Christmas. Coming from an Asian country, I would have to admit that I was initially confused as to what the day means. No it is not related to that physical sport where men exchange punches. I read that its origins really relate to the Christmas boxes given to workers.

Anyway, this day is popular here as it is a time for shops to give huge price discounts for various merchandise. In fact, it is easy to find long queues outside the shops just before they open in the morning.

Even though Boxing Day has passed, the month of January is generally still a good time to check the stores for some discount. But then, I’m sure shoppers are looking for ways to shop. For example, if you’re after watches, then the internet is a good shopping arena. You can probably even get some tips to guide you in the search. Whatever you’re looking for, you may want to check if now is the time.
