Melbourne Skyline

by liau on October 30, 2008

Melbourne is such a beautiful city. Though it comes second to Sydney in terms of population here in Australia, the difference between the two cities is quite noticeable. What is probably making some people shy away from this city is its rather fickle weather patterns. It is often described as having ‘four seasons in one day’. But there is no doubt though that Melbourne’s beauty will easily capture anyone’s eye from morning until night. This photo was taken from the Melbourne Observation Deck - Rialto.

I always am am fascinated by skyline shots especially those taken at night. Very nice composition. :) You’re right, though, people, migrants especially, tend to shy away from permanently settling in Melbourne due to its “fickle” weather - hehehe ;)

This is a beautiful photo. I’ve always wanted to visit Australia. The closest I’ve ever been was New Zealand.

The other night on the Discovery Channel they passed a program about the most dangerous creatures in Australia. It seems that Aussies have to put up with quite a number of dangerous arachnids, reptiles and fish. That would be my only deterrent to visiting. We don’t have even a fraction of the scary creatures in Ohio.
