Is It Daytime?

by liau on October 23, 2008

With daylight saving time on here in Sydney, it is not uncommon to greet someone ‘good afternoon’ at night time. On the other hand, it is easy to raise an eyebrow if someone says ‘good evening’ when it’s all bright outside. But those are just minor hiccups compared with the great benefits this ’special time’ has to offer. The extended daytime is something most people are happy to greet with open arms. Since most shops/malls close at 5pm on most days, DST gives people the much needed ‘night life’.

Hurray for Aussie night life (which seems to be “non-existent” during non-DST times of the year, right?)! :)

Nice effect nga. It did form a bright star.

By the way, I did not know that they did not celebrate halloween in Australia… I thought they did in most parts of the world. We do not celebrate it too in the Mid East. Apparently, US and Pinas lang pala yon.

Hello!!

I know what you mean about the “magandang-gabi” greeting in the afternoon.

When I first moved here to the States, people would say their “goodnight” when we are just barely getting off work.

That’s too weird for me. Got your link from LP!! Great pic! I’m sure I’ll be dropping by again. :)

My blog
It’s new. I’m kind of new in the blogosphere. Hope you can drop by! :)
