Coins in Australia

There are currently 6 types of coins in circulation in Australia. The silver coloured ones are the 5, 10, 20, and 50 cent coins. On the photo is a 20 cent coin which, like all the other coins, feature a photo of the queen. On the other hand the relatively newer $1 and $2 coins are gold/copper in colour.

Carrying around coins in Australia would prove to be useful in a lot of ways. For example, they can be used in paying for bus or train fares, and tram fare if you are in Melbourne. This is true especially if you are not the frequent commuter as paying in huge paper bills can potentially be an issue due to lack of change or due to the fact that the ticket vending machine only accepts coins.

Mayroong 6 na uri ng barya na umiikot ngayon sa Australia. Ang mga kulay pilak ay ang 5, 10, 20 at 50 cent coins. Ang nasa larawan ay ang 20 cent coin na, gaya din ng ibang barya, ay mayroong larawan ng reyna. Sa kabailang banda naman ay ang may kabaguhang $1 at $2 coins na kulay ginto/tanso ang kulay.

Ang pagdadala ng barya sa Australia ay maraming gamit. Halimbawa, ito ay magagamit sa pagbabayad ng pamasahe sa bus o tren, o sa tram kung ikaw ay nasa Melbourne. Ito ay totoo lalu na kung ikaw ay di laging bumibiyahe dahil ang pagbabayad gamit ang malalaking papel na pera ay maaaring magkaroon ng isyu dahil sa walang panukli o dahil sa barya lamang ang tinatanggap ng makinang nagtitinda ng tiket.

dapat talaga laging handa ang barya. kami rin laging may nakahandang barya pambayad sa toll at para makasakay sa rides sa mall ang anak ko. :)
