Child Care

by liau on September 2, 2008

One of the buzz words for families living in Australia is ‘child care’. As helpers or nannies are quite uncommon especially for ordinary people, finding a good child centre is a must for families. Other options available is to have a single-income family or to have the husband and wife take turns in doing their job (e.g. mum works in the morning, dad works in the evening). Those options I have just mentioned may prove to work but there are doubts as to whether they can work for a long period of time.

In our case, we’re looking for an ‘extra’ child-care centre for my daughter CN for next year. She is already on a 2-day pre-school right now. So if plans push through next year for me to work part-time, then child care expenses will be added to the family budget.
